Long story short...

 

The beginning of what is now Vildbjerg Sports & Culture Center started with an outdoor swimming pool, built by volunteers in an old gravel pit back in 1937.
The land was donated by the municipality, with the purpose that the pool should be “for the use of the municipality's residents in the future.” Ten years later – in 1947 – the stadium was established. Legend has it that the local police chief was an avid football fan. He offered “safe passage” to anyone who donated money toward building the stadium. In other words – no one had to explain to the authorities (or anyone else) where the money came from.

Thanks to determined, forward-thinking individuals and a supportive municipality, the place has continuously evolved into the center we know today. A major expansion took place in 2004, and the most recent large addition was the construction of "Hall 2" in 2015.

The idea from 1937 – that the center should be “for the use of the municipality’s citizens in the future” – has thankfully stayed with us all the way. Today, we proudly serve the local community and associations.

Our luxury is space, modern facilities, and a cheerful spirit. Since 2004, we’ve offered 32 rooms, 7 meeting rooms, and a total of 10,000 m² under one roof. This allows us to host everything from courses and conferences to christenings, international matches, lectures, Christmas parties, the Vildbjerg Cup, trade fairs, dog shows, themed days, private celebrations, and training camps for both grassroots and elite athletes. We have – in all modesty – a reputation for getting the job done with a smile.
